My
daughter and I have been members of Gracie Barra Perth for only
a few months, but improvements can already be seen in both our
fitness and BJJ skill.
I had
been interested in BJJ for quite some time. Thankfully, I
contact Grayson West who encouraged us to come and have a look
at both the adult and junior classes. We were impressed with
what we saw, particularly the fun and learning environment which
is encouraged and the emphasis to technical detail and
understanding.
My
daughter attends the junior classes on Monday and Saturdays.
These classes are taken with a significant level of supervision
with many adult students providing assistance which ensures her
development is progressive and safe.
We both
look forward to our respective training sessions with
enthusiasm, and if you're interested in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu,
come and give Gracie Barra Perth a visit.

My kids (Damien & Rennik)
were looking for something different after attaining their Black
Belts at TKD. They found it at Grayson's Gym (Cannington) after
their introduction session despite the fact that they were
smashed by every other kid in the class, regardless of size and
to the embarrassment of my kids, a girl. Reason is that they had
no training fighting on the ground before BJJ and most fights do
end up on the ground.
As a parent, you know
you are getting value for your money when your kids are being
trained by the Headmaster Grayson himself, not just any student
that can "step in" for the day. Occasionally, various proven
competition champions would be requested by Grayson to take the
class to expose them to different skill sets, techniques and to
share their experience.
While you are waiting on
the side, you will be seating (if you are early) in a welcoming
and friendly atmosphere. I have not seen any knitting sets yet
but I have seen mothers joining in and taking up BJJ with
Grayson.
